Ping G10 Driver On Thisbuy.com
Using finite element analysis (FEA) driven
by a Cray Supercomputer, company engineers optimized the G10 Driver's crown, sole and face structure interaction to ensure maximum energy transfer to the ball. The 460cc driver features a larger profile with a taller face and deeper crown that produces a higher moment of inertia for greater forgiveness and increased ball velocity.
Thinner crown and face designs provided discretionary weight which is positioned inside the club head to lower the center of gravity for reduced spin and higher launch.
Larger profile
The large.4600cc titanium head produces a higher moment of inertia for greater forgiveness and consistency. A new, thin crown pattern provides discretionary weight which is repositioned inside the head to optimize the CG location for higher launch and lower spin.
Deeper Face
The larger profile head allowed PING enineers to design a taller face which increases the effective hitting area. The face height also provides for a more aggressively angled, deeper crown for greater energy transfer.
Face-Crown-Sole Interacion
Ball velocity and overalll performance are increased by optimizing the interaction of the variable face thichness and the body of the club head. The sole desgn and aggressively sloped crown contribute to improved energy transfer for added distance.
Optimized CG Location
Discretionary weight from the crown, face and perimeter was repositioned to locate the center of gravity farther back and down to increase launch and reduce spin.
